About us

The Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) is an independent and interdisciplinary economics research centre located in the Department of Economics at University College London.

CReAM, established in 2002 as a migration economics research centre, has since grown to incorporate research across a wide range of areas in applied economics. CReAM aims to inform the public debate on labour economics and migration in the UK and Europe by producing rigorous, cutting-edge research on topics relevant to public policy. As well as conducting empirical analysis of topics within its remit, CReAM contributes to the development of new theories and methodological advances in data analysis, ensuring the ability to contribute and inform on a wide range of issues of policy concern, and establishing a reputation for analysis that is open, transparent, and reliable.

The staff at CReAM is drawn from top researchers across the world, and our research is regularly published in top peer-reviewed academic journals and promoted in widely read discussion lists. CReAM’s work is also often featured in the popular media and influences the public debate and the development of public policy.
