Research conducted at CReAM analyses many issues in Applied and Labour Economics that are of both academic interest and public and policy importance. The cutting-edge empirical analysis we perform is based on real-world data typically drawn from surveys or administrative sources. The focus of this research is to identify the causal effects of different factors which allow us to draw conclusions for policy. Our work uses a variety of methodologies, from directly extracting patterns in economic data and exploiting natural experiments (reduced form analysis) to applying advanced economic modelling (structural analysis).
